Bucket List Course

Carnoustie Golf Links

Played the Carnasty as it is called in 2018.

The Carnoustie Championship Course has become widely regarded as one of the world’s finest golf courses, as well as being tagged ‘golf’s greatest test’. Occasionally, throughout the history of Carnoustie, The Championship Courses’ condition has been allowed to deteriorate. However, under the watchful eye of now retired Links Superintendent, John Philp and all of his predecessors, it has been consistently maintained to a world class standard. Thanks to the hard work of the mentioned, The Carnoustie Championship Course is not only ‘golf’s greatest test’, it is also one of the best conditioned golf courses in the world. Today, Carnoustie welcomes visitors from across the globe on an annual basis, who seek to test their game on ‘golf’s greatest test’.

"Founded in 1937, the first National Pro-Am Golf Championship was hosted by entertainer Bing Crosby and Larry Crosby in southern California at Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club in San Diego County, the event's location prior to World War II.[4] Sam Snead won the first tournament, then just 18 holes, with a winner's share of $500. A second round was added in 1938 and was played through 1942.

After the war, it resumed in 1947 as a 54-hole event, up the coast on golf courses near Monterey, where it has been played ever since. Beginning that year, it was played at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Cypress Point Club, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club through 1966. The tournament became a 72-hole event in 1958." - Wiki

Annadale Golf Club

"Annandale is a hidden gem – a place where members enjoy the golf, tennis, dining and social activities, free from the pressures and restraints of their everyday lives.

Annandale’s golf and tennis facilities, relaxed yet refined clubhouse, warm and friendly staff and exemplary service create an atmosphere that encourages members to enjoy these activities while providing a warm and gracious social setting.

Annandale Golf Club was established in 1906 by several prominent members of the Pasadena community, including Henry Huntington, the famed railroad magnate and philanthropist, and George S. Patton Sr., father of the famous U.S. Army General. Over the years Annandale has counted among its members the Gamble, Kellogg and Weyerhaeuser families who sought the mild climate of Southern California as a retreat from the winters of the Midwest and the Northeast. Paul Runyan, two-time winner of the PGA Championship and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, was the club golf pro in the 1950s, and a club member at the time of his death in 2000." - Annandale  CC website
